150 Turn-out for the KAL-TEC Open House
and Career Education & Training Fair
Michelle Manasco has been looking in to the possibility of taking college courses or finding some other way to expand her education. That's why she came to the KAL•TEC Open House and Career Education & Training Fair held at the Northwest Michigan WORKS! Service Center in Kalkaska.
"I'm 35-years old. I've obviously been out of school a long time," said Manasco. "I was a young mom, single mom, and my son's about to turn 18 and I figure it's time that I do a little something I guess."
The event gave Manasco and about 150 other people an opportunity to talk with representatives from four year and community colleges and specialized training providers. They could also get information about things like No Worker Left Behind and financial aid. Watch the video to find out how the Career Fair and Open House helped people find the education and training that is right for them.
