Northwest Michigan Works! Business Liaisons provide a single point of contact for businesses in ten counties of Northwest Michigan. They assist businesses with human resources needs, employee training, and employee recruitment. Business Liaisons write On-the-Job Training Contracts through the federally funded Workforce Investment Act, reimbursing businesses 50% of a new employee's wage for up to six months.
