Mobility is vital to regional economic activity and personal well-being. Transportation connects people to jobs, education, health care, and community. Alternative transportation options such as public transit provide access to all types of riders—commuters, seniors, the disabled, visitors, and students—and allows residents and tourists to contribute economically to the region. The services provided by public transit agencies spurs economic activity, lessens traffic congestion and emissions, and adds value to our quality of life.
