Certified Nurse Aide Apprenticeship
The on-the-job learning concept is now being applied to the healthcare field in northwest Michigan. The Direct Care Worker Career Pathway was established as a foundation for apprenticeship.
In order to become a registered apprentice, please check with your employer to see if they are a C.N.A. registered apprenticeship site with the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments or if the employer from whom you are seeking employment is a member. If your employer does not participate in the registered apprenticeship, they may contact Jean Peters, Healthcare RSA Coordinator, for more information. Please review the Apprenticeship video before contacting the Healthcare RSA or your employer.
If you are not currently employed, please go to your nearest Northwest Michigan WORKS! Service Center and ask to speak to a Career Advisor. State your desire to be a C.N.A. apprentice.
