Certified Nurse Aide Training

The Certified Nurse Aide Training prepares individuals for successful completion of the state's nurse aide competency examination, assisting patients in maximum functional independence, observing patient rights and applying proper body mechanics. Eligibility requirements include attending a preliminary, mandatory workshop, interviewing to be selected for the program, TB test, and background check. Students may be able to get full scholarships depending upon eligibility requirements.

Certified Nurse Aide training programs may be available through your local community college, private schools, and through medical care facilities (nursing homes). The cost and length of the training varies depending on the training entity.
