Business Liaisons

A Northwest Michigan WORKS! Business Liaison is an employer's first point of contact with the Michigan WORKS! system. Business Liaisons provide the following services, and more:
 

  • Assistance developing and posting job openings
     
  • Employee recruitment, screening and referral
     
  • Workforce training and skills upgrading
     
  • Workshops on topics of interest to businesses
     
  • Outplacement services to dislocated workers
     
  • Connection to services provided by Small Business & Technology Development Center, the Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and other economic development partners
     
  • Professional community involvement and networking
